I’m Not Okay All the Time — And I’m Done Pretending I Am

I’ve gotten really good at saying, “I’m fine.”

Like… suspiciously good.

I can smile, make a joke, answer “I’m good!” and keep moving while my brain is simultaneously replaying a conversation from three days ago, worrying about twelve things that haven’t happened, and wondering if everyone I love secretly hates me because somebody answered my text with “K.” 😂

The truth?

I’m not okay all the time.

And I’m finally realizing that maybe I was never supposed to be.

For a long time, I thought being strong meant being the person who could handle everything.

Keep going. Fix the problem. Take care of everyone. Smile when you’re hurting. Say “it’s fine” when it absolutely is not fine.

And somewhere in all of that surviving, it gets really easy to lose yourself.

You become the person everybody can depend on while quietly wondering who you’re supposed to depend on.

Some days I’m confident. Some days I’m anxious. Some days I’m motivated and convinced I’m about to completely change my life by Tuesday.

And some days?

I’m drinking reheated coffee, overthinking something completely ridiculous, avoiding the laundry like it personally offended me, and doing my best just to make it through the day.

Both versions of me are real.

That’s something I’m learning to stop apologizing for.

Why I Created Beautifully Overwhelmed

I didn’t create Beautifully Overwhelmed because I have answers.

Trust me. 😂 If I had life figured out, I probably wouldn’t have an entire brand built around being overwhelmed.

I created it because I got tired of feeling like I had to hide the messy parts.

The anxiety.

The overthinking.

The relationships that hurt.

The grief that changes you.

The days when getting out of bed feels like an accomplishment.

The days when you’re doing amazing… until 2:47 PM when one tiny inconvenience sends you into an emotional spiral.

I wanted somewhere we could talk about all of it.

Not just the pretty healing.

The ugly crying.

starting over.

setting boundaries.

questioning everything.

laughing at ourselves.

losing people.

finding ourselves again kind of healing.

I want Beautifully Overwhelmed to feel like sitting down with a friend who looks at you and says:

“Girl… me too.”

No judgment. No pretending. No requirement to have your life together before you’re allowed to belong.

Just real people trying to make something beautiful out of the chaos.

So, Here I Am.

I’m showing up without having everything figured out.

I’m going to write about the things I’m still learning, the things that hurt, the things that make me laugh, and probably a few things that make me wonder why I admitted them on the internet. 😂

Some posts will be heavy.

Some will be hopeful.

Some will probably be slightly unhinged.

But they’ll be real.

And if you’ve ever felt like you’re too emotional, too anxious, too much, not enough, behind in life, starting over, or simply exhausted from trying to hold everything together…

Pull up a chair.

There’s room for you here.

You don’t need to show up healed. You don’t need to show up happy. You don’t even need to know what the hell you’re doing.

I certainly don’t. 😂

Just show up as you are.

We can be beautifully overwhelmed together. 🤍
